I think you need to "quit" "siackin" and get back to writing. The adventure did end with a to be cont...And with todays standards it should end after at least a trilogy:)

oh ya...hello to you all
bullet Kytrixia
08 Sep : 00:14
Nope.

Done and done.

05 Sep : 20:46
You can't quit! So who's going to keep up with all the SKP's and stuff?? Your the guild sage, so get to writing!!
bullet Kytrixia
04 Sep : 18:47
There's a distinction between "slacking" and "quitting". One can't be accused of doing the former if one has done the latter. Storytelling's all yours.
bullet Letalli
04 Sep : 16:01
Eh, I could be a non slacker and do the same.
bullet Angelynn
04 Sep : 11:38
Now if we can just get a certain slacker 'lock to update the site....:)
bullet Letalli
04 Sep : 09:54
that = than. good gravy I can't type this morning.
bullet Letalli
04 Sep : 09:54
That's okay. I've been on "lets make baby alts on servers infested with current and former co-workers" spree. Crazily enough, some of them seem to play on servers even MORE crowded that Laggramar.
bullet Kytrixia
01 Sep : 20:46
Gratz. I'd tell you to look up Kae for some 'splody when Ezy hits 71/72, but lately neither I or my computer have been inclined to WoW...

Project "Get an Alt to Northrend" is chugging along for me. Ezeyla hit 67 last night. One more level to go and she go beat up on baby seals!

The Fall of Ice and Shadow
SI's Adventures in Warcraft Ending 12/13/08

MURDERER!

Were it not for my carefully polished veneer, I would turn around every time I hear that word shouted in my presence. It's not that the title is undeserved, I've simply lost count of how many opportunities I've earned the right to be addressed by that term.

To be honest, I don't believe my body count is anywhere near the amount of kills I'd like it to be. Death is an expected part of war, but it's far from desirable when the loss is of someone you managed to care about. Katira was the closest thing in this life I had to a friend, and now she's gone. She died, in my opinion, doing the stupid thing - rescuing children from the burning orphanage when Teremus the Devourer recently attacked the city. Our guild several members in that attack - Isabeau, Icelady, several others. I've buried friends and family before - some at the hands of the Defias, some at the hands of the Scourge - as such I believed I was beyond actually missing anyone I knew who'd fallen in battle.

I despise being wrong.

But I long ago learned never to risk my own skin when I don't have to. Mostly because no good deed ever goes unpunished.

YOU HAVE NO BUSINESS IN OUR CITY!

As I enter the Stormwind branch of our Guild Hall, I manage to find a small morsel of amusement in the fact that so many of our townsfolk happen to have rotten produce handy for whatever occasion to throw said produce Fate presents them with. If I were capable of sympathy at this moment (or any moment for that matter) I might pause to consider the fate of the Death Knight attempting to make her way through the city streets to the Keep. But since I am (for the moment) incapable of inflicting the same level of pain and loss upon Arathas and his minions as they have upon me, I will settle for casting my lot with those who have committed to thwarting his plans for world domination.

And the fact that his plans for world domination clash with mine doesn't exactly put him in a realm of favor with me, either. And Fate has gifted me with more than a spoiled banana for dealing justice to my enemies.

One of the guild rogues - Harlowe - passes me in the foyer. "She's got the word out that she's looking for you. You'll find her in the back." I pass by without responding.

I find Sorcerra waiting for me in her office. I shouldn't be annoyed by this - from time to time "her" office has been "my" office. Yet dealing with this woman has always been troublesome - not because I can't bring myself to kill her or because I'm not capable - but because just when the opportune moment seems to present itself for me to finally rid myself of her, I find another use for Sorcerra that requires her to continue to possess her mortal coil. It's a recurring situation that I find most aggravating. As I make myself comfortable, the Mage leans forward in her chair and looks at me with every indication that she's going to make an already bad day worse.

"I'm taking Harlowe and several others on a mission," Sorcerra began, "and I'm not entirely sure when we'll be returning. I know I normally leave you in charge during long absences, but this time will be different."

"Oh? Don't tell me you're worried that I'll change the name of the Guild to Kytrixia's Minion just so I can honestly say I have more than two-hundred pets?"

"No...", Sorcerra replied, giving me that look she always gives when she's not entirely certain when I'm being serious or not. "I'm leaving Letalli in charge this time because I have a more important matter for you to attend to. A situation has developed that may work well to the advantage of the enemies of the Lich King. Apparently Mograine and his Death Knights have rebelled against their former master, and are seeking to join forces with both the Alliance and the Horde against him."

Nothing like a change in the political winds to keep life interesting. Sorcy's mission-as-excuse to make face-time with Harlowe is brazenly transparent to me if no one else. In the past, she's made no secret of her feelings for former Guild Master Isabeau's husband. The man just lost his wife, and she's already planning to sink her hooks in him. On a certain level, I truly respect that. And a chance to kill Letalli...? I don't hate Letalli, she's just going to be in the top spot and therefore deserves for me to take a shot at her. Besides, the last time I conspired to kill a Druid, she disappeared to parts unknown. I hope my fellow council member is made of sterner stuff. My curiosity regarding Druid-death simply must be satisfied.

"To that end," continued Sorcerra, "Death Knights will be joining various guilds among the Horde and Alliance. Including this one."

"What?!?"

"Which is where you come in. On the one hand, with the Alliance deploying forces to Northrend, we can't afford to launch a direct assault on the Lich King without the added strength the Death Knights will give us. On the other hand, they're members of the Scourge, and not exactly ones to be trusted. At least not completely, and certainly not unconditionally."

"I can't believe you're seriously considering this. You're better off trusting me than trusting a Death Knight."

"Exactly my point - which is why I need you to support Letalli during my absence. If anyone can spot a trap involving a diabolical conspiracy to kill those in power, it's you Kyt."

True, but in my opinion completely beside the point. Leave it to Sorcerra and her stubborn practical nobility to do the stupid thing. And few things are more stupid than trust. My ongoing assessment of my Guild Master's fitness to survive in the real world is broken by a knock on the door.

"Come in", answers Sorcerra. It's the Death Knight I saw making her way through the Trade District earlier today. "Your timing is excellent - we were just talking about you. Konala, I'd like to introduce you to Kytrixia - she's the senior member of Signum Incognitus' Council of Officers, and will be helping you acclimate to the guild."

Wait. Did she say "Konala"?

The dark armor-clad figure slowly removes her helmet. I'm grateful that there isn't as much as a gentle breeze in Sorcy's office - for if there were one right now it would surely have knocked me to the ground.

"Thank you Sorcerra," the Death Knight replies, in that ominous reverberating tone they all possess. "I understand things are a bit busy around here, so I'll try to stay out from under foot." She turns to me - cold, glowing blue eyes meeting mine. I'd swear they were piercing my soul - if I'd ever admit to still having one. "It's been a while, hasn't it Kytrixia?"

Sorcy takes note of the obvious tension between us. "Kyt? You two know each other? Old lover Kaelnye needs to know about?"

"No. Konala is...
was... my sister."

To be continued...

Greetings, mellow travelers! Welcome to another edition of Your Beloved Mistress' Coven! I've been busy picking bud and killing things and would still be doing so, were it not for the whining of zomgSLACKERpally's going "wah wah more stories more updates wah wah!". Jeez, don't you people realize power to gain and souls to collect?!? So I can get back to business, let's see what we have...

Take Heed, Underlings!

As many of you know by now, our sister guild and fellow TSGA member The Holy Circle has officially moved to the Fizzcrank realm. We wish them well, and much uber lewt getting in their new endeavors. In the meantime, please bid a warm SI welcome to Psileb and Curlyboy, both level 71 Rogues formerly of THC fame who finding a new guild home with us. Also give a warm welcome to new recruits Celebrin (19 Priest) and Exxotica (45 Warlock). Please keep your pets, demons, ghouls and assorted minions off the newcomers until we have them sufficiently acclimated to SI life. Let them get one or two SKP's in, then your pets can have their munchies. Speaking of which...

Sorcerra, our beloved Guild Master and favorite moving target is taking a brief leave of absence from the World of Warcraft. Some rushed gibberish about exploding car engines and budgets and feeding her family and taking care of her home and pointless crap like that. Jeez. When things get tight, we finally see where her priorities are. She assures me she will return as soon as possible to the care and abuse at the hands of those who know how to help her get herself killed best. In the meantime, Letalli - uber tanking Dr00d extraordinaire has been sucke - uh convinced to keep an eye on things until she gets back. Works for me! Better a nut in the bin than the nut trying to keep the lid on, I always say. And since she's just the interim Guild Master, I've promised to only plot to assassinate her just the once...

And lest I forget - Happy One Year Guild Anniversary to Atrieties and Bigbadbob! Wow... a whole year with us? Gotta respect that masochistic streak, eh?

The Oncoming Storm

SI (along with the rest of Azeroth) has engaged in the mad dash for fame and glory in Northrend. Massive Uber Gratz to Letalli, Wesson, Slyfeer, and Daranene on reaching the new 80 level cap! Hot on their heels are Bigbadbob and Aabel at 79, Alteregos 78, and Sorcerra 77 (freak). Proving that there isn't anything a Resto Shaman and Prot Pally can't kill when they work together - Kumiko and Angelynn ring in at 75 and 74 respectively. Others sneaking in WoW time when my guild mod isn't watching are Fyni and Thecake at 75, Droon and Thingone at 74, Myself, Katraya and Vormulac at 73. Atrieties and Feldunost are holding the fort at 72, with Phae, Bofur, Bublez, Descente, and Psileb making their forays into Northrend at 71.

Good to Know

The Northrend instances of Utgarde Keep, Nexus, Azul-Nerub, Ahn'kahet (Old Kingdom) and Gundrak have all fallen to the might of SI uberness. We're so uber in fact, that we pretty much have sharded (or donated to alts) all the gear we've come across - at least on the runs I've been on. Which is kinda kewl... as there will now be a motivation to do heroics when more of us reach the cap. Don't be shy about asking for instance runs, or participating when one comes up at the spur of the moment (which seems to be the norm lately).

That's all the Guild news that's fit to print. Be here next time when we'll see if Sorcerra sets off the booby-trap I left for her as she sweeps out the fur Letalli left in her chair. And since these events will probably happen before the next update - Happy Holidays (whatever holidays you celebrate) and I'll be around to collect your souls after the New Year...
