A Soldier's Prayer God our Father, Help me to remain true to my ideals during my service to my country. Help me be what is in America, the land of the free. May I realize that I represent what our country stands for. My uniform is a symbol of duty and valor both in peace and in war. I take up arms to defend what all Americans hold dear: life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Grant me the strength to live according to these ideals, the courage of my convictions, and the resolve to endure whatever dangers threaten. With you at our side I fear no evil and resist every enemy, secure in the knowledge that you hold me in the palm of your hand. Amen. I don't normally talk about faith and God, because WoW sometimes doesn't seem the place for it. But we make friends in this game and the people we spend time with become real, rather than just the animated character movements. I didn't spend a lot of time with Hottness, but what time I did, I enjoyed. He was open, friendly, conspiratorial, thoughtful and played well with others. We ran around Nagrand a bit before he became a member of SI, and the folks that played with him also enjoyed his company. He was only able to be a member of our guild for a short time before he was going to head out to do his duty. I kept telling him to be careful - to try to stay safe - like my words could make a difference. Power Word: Shield over those who put their lives on the line to protect us. He said his brother would be playing his character while he was gone, and I assured him he'd be welcome. New family to look after while he was away. For Hottness, may your God protect you and keep you until we can meet again. For your family, may he bring your loved ones peace and comfort in the knowledge that you will not be forgotten. Thank you for putting your life on the line for us. We honor that and respect you for it. Sorcerra~
