I think you need to "quit" "siackin" and get back to writing. The adventure did end with a to be cont...And with todays standards it should end after at least a trilogy:)

oh ya...hello to you all
bullet Kytrixia
08 Sep : 00:14
Nope.

Done and done.
bullet Angelynn
05 Sep : 20:46
You can't quit! So who's going to keep up with all the SKP's and stuff?? Your the guild sage, so get to writing!!
bullet Kytrixia
04 Sep : 18:47
There's a distinction between "slacking" and "quitting". One can't be accused of doing the former if one has done the latter. Storytelling's all yours.
bullet Letalli
04 Sep : 16:01
Eh, I could be a non slacker and do the same.
bullet Angelynn
04 Sep : 11:38
Now if we can just get a certain slacker 'lock to update the site....:)
bullet Letalli
04 Sep : 09:54
that = than. good gravy I can't type this morning.
bullet Letalli
04 Sep : 09:54
That's okay. I've been on "lets make baby alts on servers infested with current and former co-workers" spree. Crazily enough, some of them seem to play on servers even MORE crowded that Laggramar.
bullet Kytrixia
01 Sep : 20:46
Gratz. I'd tell you to look up Kae for some 'splody when Ezy hits 71/72, but lately neither I or my computer have been inclined to WoW...

Students need to get back to school now. I want my Aggy back!

Woot! Ezeyla hit 70 (okay, so I more than got her to Northrend) and now I'm working on Maristal. Go me?
bullet Letalli
26 Aug : 11:01
Project "Get an Alt to Northrend" is chugging along for me. Ezeyla hit 67 last night. One more level to go and she go beat up on baby seals!

Kytrixia's Coven 7/22/08
SI's Adventures In Warcraft ending 7/22/08

It is a warm summer day, and the Signum Incognitus Guild Hall bustles with more activity than it has in recent months. Several adventurers gather in the main chamber to break bread and share tales of courage and valor, while others are content to sleep in an actual bed for the first time in weeks. New recruits are being shown around the premises, and towards the back of the hall an ornate (but closed) door reads, "The Guild Master is: IN "...

Within the office, a tall, curvaceous, auburn-haired Mage stands behind the desk - unpacking items from a long trip and sorting paperwork left by the desk's previous user. Across from her, a dusky young raven-haired Warlock leans back in a chair with the heels of her feet on the edge of the desk - her shoulders being massaged by an alluring succubus.

Taking a gold-embossed name plate that reads Sorcerra from one of the desk drawers, the Mage whacks the Warlock's feet from the desk and begins, "I see you've managed to maintain forays into Karazhan and even launch incursions into Zul'Aman, but you haven't gotten SI even so much as a scouting report from Magtheridon's Lair?"

"First of all", replied the Warlock as she straightens up in the chair without disrupting her daemonic massage, "you go blinking off to nether-knows-where to meet up with Nythyrra, Letalli, Bughotti, and Khlindria - which I imagine you still aren't going to tell anyone about - and just leave a note telling me 'not to let things fall apart while you're gone'. Quite frankly, you should be pleased that I didn't plunge the guild into the Ninth Circle of The Abyss. That
was on my to-do list, you know. I didn't even get around to having any of the gnomes disappear under mysterious circumstances - which of course could in no way be tied back to me."

"Very funny Kyt. I see you haven't made as many changes to your sense of humor as you have to my office."

"The place needed a few personal touches if I was going keep things running smoothly while you were gone. Honestly Sorcy, do you have any idea the effort it takes just to keep your chair and desk from floating up to the ceiling? You should call in an enchanter about that." Kytrixia examined Sorcerra's face for a hint of a response, but Sorcerra seemed to let that last comment pass. "Besides, all we need to know about Maggie-boy we learned from killing Keli'dan in the Blood Furnace. Mags is big, ugly, and disgustingly well-guarded. I enjoy a mad rush for power and wealth as much as the next sensible warlock, but I'm not suicidal. You want to dance on Magtheridon's corpse? It's going to take more than just us."

"And why die in that rush when you can have someone else do it for you" is the thought Sorcerra was certain was directing her Warlock lieutenant's chain of reasoning. Kytrixia and Sorcerra's relationship went back far enough for the mage to appreciate the warlock's sense of prudence, not to mention her administrative style. Sorcerra had no doubts that a great deal of the guild's success during her absence were due as much (if not more) to the largess of other key members' contributions. But Warlocks as authority figures had an occasional up-side: Their behind-the-scenes schemes had to wait while the Warlock maintained her power-base. Sorcerra took a closer look at the guild's roster, noting not only an increase in number, but several promotions in skill levels in key areas. Sorcerra's intent during this briefing was to keep the Warlock on her toes and accountable for her actions - but she had to admit that productive things had taken place, and at least the forces of darkness didn't have free run of the place. For now, at least.

"But you needn't worry about launching an attack on Magtheridon's Lair", Kytrixia continued. "Quite a few of our allied guilds have wanted a shot at doing that very thing. I've got Lorelaei working out the details with Marianne from The Holy Circle, and there's an announcement for volunteers posted outside the office door."

Sorcerra didn't let it escape her notice that Kytrixia didn't say, "
your" office door, but she didn't say "my" office door either. Sorcerra had ambitions - which to her were rational (more rational than a Warlock's at least) to advance her guild and challenge the forces of darkness in Azeroth and Outland alike. Sorcy thought the raid on Magtheridon's Lair was her idea, but apparently Kytrixia had already had it in the works. Or it could be that Kyt was taking her leadership position (however temporary) seriously, and was merely doing what needed to be done to keep things going smoothly. Mind games and power struggles are always a dangerous web of deceit and manipulation with Warlocks, and even though Kytrixia and Sorcerra's long-term agenda's often meshed, the Mage couldn't help but wonder if her official return to leadership was just a trigger to some elaborate trap...

To Be Continued...

* * * * *

Mellow greetings, my little raid bai... er, I mean, fellow guild mates, allies, and noble travelers! I bid thee welcome to another installment of events that have transpired within Your Beloved Mistress' Coven! As per usual the dr00ds, pally's, and mages are slacker-rific, so it again falls to the ambitious among us (read "Warlocks" cuz we rule and are overpowered anywho so it just makes perfect sense for us to be in charge) to do what must be done, and crush those pesky website updates. Hail the glorious Warlocks! And be certain to give a tenth of your financial substance to each Warlock you see today - starting with Yours Truly!

What? Out-loud voice again? Feh... I'm pretty sure I meant to say that...

Now, let us see how well you've all been doing The Will of Your Mistress!

Take Heed, Underlings!

First, let's all officially welcome Sorcerra back to "active" status as SI's guild leader, moving target, inter-guild diplomat, and general all-around scapegoat. I for one am happy to have her back, as it's much easier to plunge a dagger into someone's spine when they're standing in front of you. "Real power behind the throne" and all that, blah blah. True, I could hug her while attempting to play my favorite game of "hide the cutlery", but I think she's grown a bit too smart for that. And I'm not the least bit bitter about giving up the plush, cushy office, especially not when the invoice for all the [Ancient Lichen] I charged to her Arcane Express credit card (silly mage left home without it) is buried in the stack of unfinished paperwork deep enough for her to not find it for a while. Free healthstones for everyone who clutters up Sorcy's desk even a little bit when they stop by her office to welcome her back or check in. That'll teach her not to question the wisdom of an open-door policy.

Also give some of your SI happy happy joy joy's to Amonkai, who's back with us after having some computer problems. Show him your love by dragging him someplace ludicrous (like oh, say, Magtheridon's Lair) and get him killed a few times. It's what we do here. And it shouldn't be that bad. Lirpa says Magtheridon won't attack if you take off your weapons - and how often is a hunter wrong?

The world has continued to spin dizzily in Sorcy's absence - Letalli's favorite Ottoman, Malleficent won the [Staff of Infinite Mysteries] from a KZ PuG. Be sure not to toss her any heals while she's life-tapping in the middle of a fight. Not just because it might help her survive, but because she'll usually tell you not to. Which is fine with us.

And much gratitude to Krispycreme for her gracious donation of [Design: Luminous Noble Topaz] to Kumiko for the betterment of all of SI's aspiring healers!

The Gathering Storm

Let's all give a warm (if not overly belated) SI welcome to new members Hottness (Rogue) and his brother, Illidaian. Hottness has been deployed to Iraq for the next 15 months, so our prayers and gratitude go with him and all those who keep the world, our nation, and our freedom safe from terror.

(Salutes)

Illidian informs me that he'll be keeping his brother's toons warm for him while he's gone, so those who haven't met the original(?) Hottness, that'll be Illidian for the time being - stated merely for clarification. Letalli will be along momentarily to explain SI's Gnomish Ottoman policy.

Also bid a warm welcome to new recruit, Phae - IRL brother of guild veteran Daranene! Daranene posted an addendum to Phae's membership application granting any and all SI toons free reign to get Phae killed as often and in whatever manner we deem appropriate, so long as Dara either gets first dibs at the death, or 50% of the proceeds from the sale of the body. I'm sure I can find a few SI'ers who will happily oblige. The line forms behind Smith & Wesson. Please keep it orderly, and be prepared to cover your own food, water, poison, reagent, and ammunition expenses. Killing SI toons should always be fun, but never cheap.

Also please welcome Omegon, RL friend of Destiny Brothers Ccain and Aabel. You'd think knowing those two is all one would need of mayhem and destruction in ones life, but he signed up to run with us. Share the love.

IRL couple "The Wonder Twins" (aka Bofur and Katraya) have been making their presence in the guild known more frequently of late. They're not "new" members, but don't get on much because of that silly IRL stuff they do way to often for my tastes (adults having real lives gawd what's the world coming to these days) so be sure to invite them along for whatever spur-of-the-moment carnage and mayhem may arise. Just so they know that we love them too, and think they should get glorious lewts and die spectacular deaths like every other toon in this guild.

Kudos to all those who have obediently contributed to Your Beloved Mistress' SI Eugenics program! We've had an unprecedented amount of "toon advancement" in the last 30 days:

Grats to Ccain, Hottness, Bigbadbob, and Kumiko for all crossing the 70 threshold within the same 48-hour period. For those not keeping track, that's two Protection (tank) warriors, a raid-level rogue (the only one in SI besides Thingone - get a move-on Niblette) and a raid-level healer. Yes, there simply must be more organized mayhem.

The quest for peak perfection ends for some, but continues for a great many others in our organization: We have Feldunost at 66, Thingtwo at 65, Minni and Maristal at 62, Zigfried at 60, Milihuntr at 51, Alteregos at 44, Favnephew at 42, Rainofdeath and Omegon at 40, Ruts at 30, Tomelectric at 24, Brinaomine at 16, and the newly indoctrinated Kalonice at 15.

Rise Up as One, and Smite the World for Your Mistress!

Kudos to KZ's Day 2 cleanup of Attumen, Maiden, Aran, and Illhoof. Congratulations to Lorelaei for winning [Worgen Claw Necklace] and [Bands of Indwelling], Aabel for [Iron Gauntlets of the Maiden], Brianminor for [Stalker's War Bands], Magrim for [Gilded Thorium Cloak], Xalt for [Pendant of the Violet Eye], and to my little Mage-candy Kaelnye for [Malefic Girdle] and [Boots of the Infernal Coven].

Thanks to all those who attended last week's ZA run, where Sorcy and Malle were both killed several times and all the lewt was d/e'd, cuz, well, apparently we were that uber. Who knew?

Good to Know

Worth mentioning again: For those looking for a quick means to meet the minimum gear standards for KZ and/or heroics, please remember that faction quartermasters for Cenarion Hold, Honor Hold, Lower City, Sha'tar and (rumored) Keepers of Time have blues for sale to those who have reached honored reputation with them. If you're playing a toon who's class gives you a role based on your spec, you most likely will have to get multiple pieces of a set from different vendors (I know this to be a fact for Resto Shammy's). Don't be afraid to ask your guildies for runs on the forums (you can do it online but you're more likely to get a better turn out asking on the forums as more of us will know and actually plan for it). Please remember though that gear is not experience, and many endgame boss fights are described in terms of boss encounters from Hellfire citadel, Archendoun, and Serpenshrine Caverns. Magister's Terrace is a prime example of this, even in normal mode (the second boss fight mirrors the Moroes fight in Karazhan in ways too close for my comfort). Minimum KZ requirements are posted on the thread SI Forums: Guildies Only! --> Karazhan Minimum Requirements, for your perusal pleasure.

If you haven't done so already, be sure to download and install the latest version of Group Calendar. Most of the endgame content (read 10-man or better) is done with the cooperation of our allied guilds, so don't miss the opportunity for bonding, loot, mayhem, and flaming hot Sorcy death. Configuration is so simple that anyone who's on should be able to walk you through it (although Dara had a great post about it that I'll have to scrounge from the netherworld of past forum posts...)

Oh, and as a reminder, if you kick major instance tush, or get an uber piece of gear in a run (guild or otherwise) be sure to clicky on the "Submit News" link in the upper left-hand corner of the front page of this very site, and Your Beloved Mistress will include your feat of uberness in a future site update!

Anywho, that's it for now. Come back next time to see if Sorcy manages to find what all else I left in, on, and under her desk. And if she's so "back", how is it that I'm still doing the site updates?

Love Me (That's neither a farewell nor a request)
    Your Beloved Mistress, Kytrixia
